DIVORCE

While every divorce is different, the one thing they all have in common is that the process is difficult. For a lot of people, the emotional toll is the worst part. But, for many others, the emotional aspect is long gone from the marriage and the real struggle comes with the strenuous process of dividing a life that was once shared.

We have extensive experience in handling all types of matters, from short-term uncontested divorces to long-term, high-asset contested divorces. What are the types of Divorce?

Uncontested Divorce

If you and your spouse have reached a mutual decision as to the terms of your divorce, including, but not limited to, division of real property (i.e., real estate), division of personal property, spousal support, child custody, and child support, we will put together a custom-tailored Settlement Agreement that accurately and effectively reflects your agreed-upon terms. Perhaps you and your spouse have only reached a partial agreement, but you feel confident a full agreement can be reached. In those cases, will communicate directly with your spouse or his or her attorney to negotiate a full agreement.

Contested Divorce

Contested divorce cases are cases that may involve minor children and determining a custody arrangement that is in the children’s best interests. Another common source of contention is in regards to spousal support (alimony) and whether or not one spouse is entitled and, if so, in what amount. We also handle a large number of cases which involve one or both spouses who earn a significant income. Determining the full extent of the marital estate is crucial in these cases, and they often require asset searches, private investigators, and/or subpoenas served on third-party financial institutions. Whatever your needs, Juitt-Jackson Law will provide the careful and effective representation you need to ensure that your interests are protected.

Whether you and your spouse have come to a full or partial agreement as to the terms of your separation, or you are making the difficult decision to end a marriage and know that the road ahead will not be an easy one, let us help you. Call Juitt-Jackson Law today to speak directly with attorney Narissa Juitt-Jackson, and take the first step in the next chapter of your life.
